About this deal

However, If you want something better than the above in quality scent profile, quality development over time, and staying power, this is the best I have smelled out of the many, many similar profiles. An absolutely beautiful rounded out fragrance it has the original ADG sea notes that makes it aquatic through the life of the fragrance. But some similar ambery tonka aspect you can also find in Invictus, Stronger with You, One million, Code Profumo. Great for a mid to late teen and up to 25 years old, or even up to mid 30's depending on the type of man wearing it and his personality.

Succulent fruity notes mingle with vibrant herbs, rich woods and resins in an exuberant and magnetic modern masculine scent that works in almost any situation.Copying or inspired by is a compliment, and invictus brings in the money cause it smells great to people who are not against it from the start or have to be wearing Niche.

Taking in account that this is a ADG flanker it has amazing performance (8+ on my skin) and great projection (arm length). The opening is citrusy, aquatic, woody, bright, and intense; dry-down is mostly woody, with light aquatic and faint citrus touches. I would like to get my hands on it because that one seems pretty hyped but I dont think it will be long before this one is. It’s scent profile sits between several other types of fragrances and I don’t see a scenario where I would reach for this over something else that’s more explicitly spring/summer or fall/winter. Since my dad had acqua di gio the original clear bottle, and profumo is way too popular and maybe even discounted. It has everything I love about the original: the aquatic clarity, the aromatic edge, the citrus is now fruity instead of floral. It comes off immensely smooth to me, like an exotic iced tea flavor, not like a thick, syrupy, candy sweetness. But you're also not going to stand out and I doubt the average person could tell this apart from all the other popular men's fragrances out there today. Absolu is discontinued and I wondered if they would bring out something similar in their newer refillable bottles (like the new Parfum is a remake of the discontinued Promumo), but given Stronger with you Only is a weaker, less sweet version of SWY for warmer weather, I figure SWY Only is taking the place of ADG Absolu, particularly because many people in the fragrance world thought the Absolu flanker should have been in the SWY line. The great citrus, aquatic and woody opening turns into a common woody dry-down with distant aquatic and citrus notes that do not appear to be an EDP concentration.

But if you, like me, prefer fresh scents and want something heavier in the cooler seasons, this is perfect. It still has its fresh aquatic DNA making it a true acqua di gio, but as the cap would suggest, it also adds a classic woodiness to it. Top notes are Sea Notes, Bergamot, Pear, Apple, Grapefruit and Lemon; middle notes are Lavender, Rosemary and Geranium; base notes are Woody Notes, Tonka Bean, Amberwood, Patchouli and Labdanum. As the fragrance develops you are introduced to the woody and amber notes which gives it a warm, woody and slightly spicy aroma for the remainder of its duration. It’s actually stunning to me when I smell it in the air - it’s aquatic, a bit fruity, sweet, thick, spicy, woodsy. To me, it was just a likeable scent that didn’t blow me away or didn’t fall in love with like I wanted to. This could be signature-worthy for someone who wanted to stand out from the crowd but still smell crowd-pleasing. Acqua di Giò Absolu Instinct is a woody, resinous and slightly citrusy scent enchanted with some kind of dark ocean magic. And it does project fairly well and last really long even when I tried spraying it in the air the first few times.
