About this deal

The album will connect to everyone in a different way, but it sounded like Broken Bell's outer space sound, combined with Damon's Britpop flavor, and a lot more electronic sounds you've heard with other Blur works. Language - Regardless of country of origin all tracks are sung in English, unless otherwise stated in our description. Coxon left the band during early recording sessions for Think Tank, and Blur disbanded for several years after the end of the album's associated tour, with the members engaged in other projects. On the way back from his tour of Australia in December, Albarn stopped in Hong Kong once more for lyrical inspiration.

The group have largely been on hiatus since the Magic Whip tour, but have announced plans to reunite in 2023 for various live dates. I'm glad Blur emerged from the scattered years and created this album for everyone to enjoy and didn't leave it unfinished in the Orient: it's going to get a lot of plays in my circle. It wasn’t until Graham Coxon reprised these sessions and presented them to long-time producer Stephen Street, who went on to develop them with the guitarist, that they realised they might have material worthy of a new album.

Thankfully, this is the first album released this year that has left me simultaneously pleasantly relaxed and upbeat. The band consists of singer Damon Albarn, guitarist Graham Coxon, bassist Alex James and drummer Dave Rowntree.
