You can tell if the seat isn't put in properly if you give it a little pus/shake to see if it moves and if it moves too much then there's too much slack on the seat belt and needs to be redone. You need to pull the seat belt taunt and make sure it's flat when it goes through the back and out on the side again. If you need to move it round, or if it needs to come out at nursery, or out of a grandparents car for storage it becomes much more difficult, time consuming and frankly annoying!
I wouldn’t use this on a child under 18-months-old that naps as their head can fall forward and it doesn’t feel 100% safe. I felt it would be extremely uncomfortable for her sitting with her head dropped on her chest if it were a long journey.
