Welcome to the Yokaiju Crew!

Paul Klee’s greatest source of inspiration was his friendship with Wassily Kandinsky who is most famous for being dubbed the godfather of abstraction. Surrealism, Bauhaus, Expressionism, Cubism, Abstraction, Orientalism, Cityscapes, early Modernist painting Apply just the right amount of glue. When you hold the two parts you are trying to bond together, excess glue would spill to the sides when you press them together and that might leave a nasty mark. Even manufacturers make this mistake as you can sometimes get figures that have glue stains.

Klee draws attention to the idea of fantasy, appetite, and the hunger of the brain by making the subject of this painting a solitary head of a cat. The cat’s desire is represented by a heart on the tip of the cat’s nose. Genshin Impact’s playable characters tend to have very complex designs particularly in their outfits, and Apex absolutely nailed it. I’m very happy that Mihoyo tapped on Apex to manufacture their figures. Speaking of which, the 1/7 Ningguang is also a highly anticipated figure by Apex which comes out in May 2022 and I cannot wait to receive her! The concept art for the figure captures Klee’s energetic personality so perfectly! Because Klee is a *wee, smol* child it was probably a challenge to make the figure interesting, so they made the decision to add all kinds of different elements in bright colors to give the figure that extra oomph. Paul Klee was also considered to be one of the early Modernist artists who strived towards the “pure cultivation” of painting. For Klee, this meant that he placed importance on the display of art elements like shape, line, and color as opposed to the use of them to represent something else. This approach is also possibly an early foreshadowing of Minimalism.

This iconic print was described by Benjamin as an image of an angel that appears as though “he is about to move away” from something that he was fixated on as suggested by the angel’s gaze. The angel is also portrayed with his mouth open and wings spread out as if preparing to take flight. Benjamin’s in-depth interpretation goes on to suggest that the angel was witnessing a catastrophe that kept piling in front of him and although the angel wished to remain and resurrect the dead or thing that has been shattered, he is prevented from doing so due to a storm “blowing from Paradise”. The angel had his wings caught in the violence of the storm and therefore was unable to close his wings. The storm, according to Benjamin, was the device that “propelled him into the future”. The storm was known as progress. As perfect as I probably made it sound, this figure definitely had its fair share of flaws. One of the two confetti pieces I had to manually insert onto the figure was NOT the right size to fit into the hole at all, and I had to push so hard it started to hurt. Fortunately the figure itself was pretty hefty and did not suffer any damages. Another piece of confetti however had a too small peg that fit too loosely into the corresponding hole and kept falling off whenever I touched it, but I was able to permanently affix it with some superglue. Below, you will find a list of popular books for more information on the life and art of Paul Klee. How can we not talk about the iconic little Dodoco-esque mines? They are adorably scattered all around Klee and certainly can't be overlooked! There are five little mines in total that are viewable in all angles. (o´▽`o)

Many of Klee’s works draw inspiration from the colors of the orientalist environment and are examples of his period in painting referred to as the mystical-abstract period, which lasted between 1914 and 1919. Viewers can discover the film’s end for themselves, yet Meyer finds inspiration in Klee without making his work a roadmap, which wouldn’t have worked anyway. Klee’s inescapable humour (along with Meyer’s) and his humanity keep you with this story of affliction and keep the story from being what these accounts tend to be—chronicles of tense doctors’ visits, tearful families and beeping diagnostic machines. An explosives expert and a regular at the Knights of Favonius' confinement room. Also known as Fleeing Sunlight.” While Ken Meyer learns about his condition, he studies Klee. His film, up to then a tactile introduction to the ordeal of scleroderma, with his own body as exhibit A, enters the imagination of an artist whom he sees as a kindred spirit. The feel of the figure is smooth, with varying textures of glosses and mattes on each specific detail of the figure really makes it feel like a premium product. An example of Klee’s interest in combining visual and musical harmony is Fugue in Red (1921) ; Paul Klee, Public domain, via Wikimedia Commons

Paul Klee was incredibly innovative and invented the oil transfer method, which was used to create this monoprint. Monoprinting is a printmaking technique used to create unique artworks. The German critic and writer, Walter Benjamin who bought Klee’s print in 1921 expressed his interpretation of the subject, which was an angel as implied by the title, which translates to New Angel. This seems like the ideal glue for fixing anime figures. I have no first-hand experience with this product so I am basing this on what I researched. Supposedly, it only works well on styrene which is the material used for model kits. Not sure how well it would work on PVC plastic and ABS which are the main materials used on anime figures but I do hear some collectors recommending it. Her focal points of interest in art history encompass profiling specific artists and art movements, as it is these areas where she is able to really dig deep into the rich narrative of the art world. Additionally, she particularly enjoys exploring the different artistic styles of the 20 th century, as well as the important impact that female artists have had on the development of art history. Virgin in the Tree is one of many Paul Klee prints etched between 1903 and 1905 as part of his first series, Inventions. In an act of rebellion, Klee provides a distorted representation of the female nude in this etching. Throughout his lifetime, Klee created more than 100 prints via lithography and etching techniques. For Klee, etching offered him more structure during a time when he was disappointed by his early paintings. It doesn’t keep Meyer from restating a grim fact—more than two million people have some form of scleroderma.Klee is an energetic and outgoing girl who takes after her mother, Alice. She has a particular talent for creating explosives and is not fazed by the sound of explosions. She acts like a typical energetic young child who loves playing with her friends. In Germany, 17 of Klee’s works were featured in a 1937 exhibition for “degenerate art” and approximately 102 of Paul Klee artworks were seized from public collections. There are steps to follow to make sure you don’t mess up fixing your anime figure using super glue. Also known as the Queen of Hearts, this lithograph by Klee is a perfect example of the whimsical talents of Paul Klee. Klee developed this style during his time at Bauhaus, which was marked by the appearance of geometric shapes coupled with signs and symbols in an abstract manner. The lithograph print shows a shaded heart that stands out amidst the many linear markings. The print featured in a section of volume two, number four of the journal, Der Ararat. Glossen, Skizzen und Notizen zur Neuen Kunst in 1921. After his graduation, Klee moved to Italy with the Swiss sculptor Hermann Haller, where the two embarked on an adventure of study of the classical masters. During his trip, he developed a different stance towards color and viewed it as a means of escape from pessimism.
