About this deal

Anyway you go yell at your fiancé because he didn’t tell you this isn’t the only dead body and there are other dead bodies and all your best friends know but no one told you because I loved how these two slowly learn more about one another and change their perspective, especially Célie, and I loved how being opening to new perspectives it also helped Célie to come into her own agency and potential. i saw that epilogue coming BUT THE MURDERER??? i never wouldve guessed that person💀 curse this cliffhanger because i dont want to wait until next year for book 2😭 im in desperate need of more célie and michal🥺🫶

I'm so happy she still has her friends even if they don't treat her exactly right in the beginning of the book.I’m not going to delve into too much else because it’s really difficult without spoiling, but I just wanna say… that ending… lmao, y’all are gonna hate Shelby for the ending in this book because I know I do😀 So, have fun with that!

I like to think I’m a calm reader in the sense that I don’t like, throw a book at the wall. There was a moment in this book where I absolutely threw the book at the wall (it was actually my e-reader and it hit a pillow thank God BUT STILL). There were a lot of moments in this where I just…AH. I screamed.I cared so much more about the side characters rather than the main characters. I wanted to see more of them instead of Lou and Reid. It was interesting seeing the way Coco and Beau dealt with the grief cause by the events of the previous book and how Beau was trying to be there for Coco in any way he could. Any scene they were in was automatically better, but also I hated Lou and Reid so much in this one that they could only to this much for my overall enjoyment. The storyline was really interesting, although I was a little disappointed that it kind of got away from the murder investigation a bit. And wtf Jean Luc? Why are you vibing so hard as Tampon? I'm glad Celie got out of there and started doing things on her own. Kind of >D Celie is an incredible heroine - she is underestimated, overlooked, thought of as someone needing protection, to the point where she almost believes it herself, but her character development in this book is amazing. She is determined and kind and must learn what she wants out of life, particularly after the trauma she’s been through, and I adored her. She is vulnerable yet courageous. She may not possess the expected traits of heroines on the type of adventure she is thrust into, but she shows that she still has all that is required to take on such a journey. Coco and Beau's relatioship was better, but because of how much the author decided to focus on the main characters' one, it was underdeveloped. I wanted too see more of them, but no of course we couldn't get more of it when we really need to focus on the two idiots we have as main characters. Let me end thsi section of my review with this. In a good book all relationships are well developed, even when it's between two side characters.
