As this review shows, however, the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 is more than just a great design. If sound quality is important to you and you want a wireless speaker for your home, the Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 8 is an excellent choice. In addition to its beautiful design and eight-hour battery life, this speaker has excellent sound, although there is always room for improvement, as you will see.

Onyx Studio 6 has a 3,250 mAh battery that is rated for 8 hours at 50% volume. The Best Part: The Design

The audio capabilities of the Onyx Studio 7 are very good. The 120mm woofer and the two 25mm tweeters produce a well balanced soundstage in which the highs, mids and lows all sound great. The Onyx Studio 7 has a respectable 8 hours of battery life. This fluctuates based on the volume, however at around 50% volume I was able to confirm usage for close to 8 hours.

According to our tests, the company’s prediction was correct, and we were even able to enjoy more than eight hours of music while using the device without being plugged in. Given that the volume is high, it is most likely that you will not use it more than 40% at home, so the battery life will reach these 8 hours and even a little more. Generally, a bluetooth speaker will score well for battery life or score well for portability. Onyx Studio 6, sadly, doesn’t rate well for either. The combination of a heavy speaker with an unimpressive battery just doesn’t excite many users. Onyx Studio 7 has a handle that encircles the speaker, giving it a futuristic appearance (it looks like a planet with a ring around it). The Onyx 7 is made of high-quality materials and fits seamlessly into your lifestyle and living room. Thanks to the slim aluminum handle, you can take this speaker anywhere. Wireless Bluetooth streaming Onyx Studio 6 actually has slightly stronger bass, but this isn’t necessarily a good thing. Some users feel the bass is too “boomy.” But again, this difference is only perceptible if you are testing both speakers alongside one another.Harman Kardon’s Onyx Studio 7 is a capable and stylish portable speaker that works best in the house, not out and about.

Sound quality, clarity, and bass are great, and those are ultimately the most important aspects of a speaker.During our review, we found the Onyx Studio 8 to have a very high sound quality, with well supported highs and excellent bass. If you like deep bass, this speaker is a great choice. You can feel the powerful bass even without turning up the volume, and this Onyx Studio 8 makes the table it is placed on vibrate.
