It's quite linear, but when you break down the simple Scent that it is there's a lot going on that makes it smell the way it does
This is very good (maybe even excellent) by parfumerie standards. It isn't JUST very good within the DB range. Deospray: gingery, peppery and citrussy vetiver. It does not smell cheap like other drugstore frags. Even that deospray lingers about 2-3 hours on skin. Longevity is shit and becomes skin scent within two hours tops, but at this price point, you can afford to reapply throughout the day and not feel the sting.It opens with a nice sparkle of ginger, grapefruit and light pepper. The cashmere and leather heart softens everything to balance the spice and musk. However, there's not quite enough staying power or projection for a night out in my opinion. You would need a second bottle to reapply around lunchtime or midnight to get a full day or evening out of this one. I actually prefer this one more due to Terre D'Hermes' orange that CAN smell cloying. It does reminds people of orange toilet detergents. Anyhow, this; it has a classic feel but not dated. Timeless, I would say. It's the right amount of spicy and warm, but also has a refreshing, cooling effect, maybe from the rosemary? I don't know. I can't really analyze it or speak on the performance, I just know it smells pretty much perfect to me. Can't stop smelling it. Nothing out of the ordinary, but seems like a solid, extremely pleasant, versatile scent. I honestly don't know what Sichuan pepper smells like, to me it smelled of white pepper and a fresh sky in a green, mountainous region with fresh, dense air.
As others have said, this is pretty good with a great price. It’s cashmeran with some pepper, and who doesn’t like cashmeran? scent has good sillage for the first hour. lasting power for the scent is 6-8 hours than close to skin the musc helps with the lasting power in this. opening is very like Tdh, but becomes a much more gingery soapier scent after half an hour. Expect to be disappointed if you think are buying a Tdh alternative because its not in terms for quality and longevity. The second time, I sprayed it for a workday (since it is a day scent after all) and it was lighter but still somewhat leathery though I noticed more notes like cashmere. It also didn't last all day and lasted only five hours with projection stopping at two hours. Later after a few weeks, it actually lasted an entire workday including skin, so it is a little bit too inconsistent. As a guy, I first thought of NOT wearing it because it reminded me of sexy guys. I naturally see sexy guys as competitors. But....why not BE the sexy guy?!
It's predominantly a sichuan pepper and woods fragrance with a zesty spicy sweetness. The composition is aided with a softening warmth of cashemran and a herbal touch of rosemary I had no expectations and have to say was very pleasantly surprised. Out of the few i have tried this one is by far the most defined and suited to me. The first time, I sprayed it at night and I seemingly over-sprayed it getting a leathery cashmere smell that is much more refreshing than straight leather like say English Leather. It lasted all night with pretty strong projection for about three hours.
This one reminds AB Diavolo, which is cheap brother of Fahrenheit. Homme is not so ,,dark'' and mysterious. More straightforward, and very masculine. Great versatility, average sillage and longevity. I recently received a sample of this, and I decided to try it out on my wrist and was actually very impressed. I see people all the time moaning about poor longevity with fragrances that are relatively cheap and there's no need to.The way all the notes work together and compliment each other is amazing. The rosemary compliments the sichuan pepper in aiding for that sweet warmth with an herbal facet, ginger and citrus ties in with that giving a brightness and zingy aroma while cashmeran rounding everything out adding a soft texture to the whole composition. This scent actually reminded me a little of the way I remember Old Spice smelling as a kid...manly, forceful and warm. They don't exactly smell the same, but they evoke the same kind of reaction in me. a very nice jazzy scent bitter citruss on top that smells semi sweet, alot of white musc here. the leather is light but can easily smell it not as intense as diors farenhight. has a late 80's and early ninties vibe but a little modernised with the top notes of the scent after the first 30 mins i beguin to think, no actually i beguin to know i have smelt the exact same scent elsewhere. anyway i'll judge the scent based on whats in the bottle. for me its a good smelling scent quality is just below average imo. although does not smell cheap in any way.
